Love the mod, though I have went back to install 1.73 and 1.73.9 with the fan addons v2. I have no idea why you guys have after all these years continued not to add in the newer DOW 2 nid models, yet use them for Uberfexes and tervigon models?

I'm currently working with the UA developers with integrating the newer models into the game. So far things are going along great. We will then test for bugs and hopefully the UA developers will release a new patch with all the extra content I have to share.

Wonderful news! I have successfully integrated the better looking DOW 2 Tyranid models into the game with no bugs so far! The army looks absolutely beautiful and much more realistic! I will be adding:

- DOW 2 Nid Models
- Personal music list for each race with a set theme
- 20-30 new maps
- A new necron HUD
- HD Loading Screens in color
- A new Win condition "Fall Back Rule" (causes units with broken morale to flee and ignore user controls)
- New Badges and Banners and Army Schemes
- Perhaps a few more things I may be forgetting but will log down

Things I am prepared to work on:

- Upgrading the Dark Eldar Models from the 80's style look to the new sleeker look from GW
- Adding Games Workshop units for all races that are not in the game, for example, the venomthrope for the NIDs.

Any texturing, animation specialists or hobbyists are welcome to PM me!

awesome I would love to help out and make this happen, I also have a few mods like a fallback mod which causes routing units to flee and be uncontrollable, I have around 30+ new maps that are absolutely amazing, I have implemented new sound tracks and some custom badges and banners that I think would serve this mod well!

Overall: Honestly I like how things are coming, but I just can't enjoy UA like I used to. This is just some simple suggestions for one race, my favorite race. I could go on about some of the other races but to me it's pointless because I know it'll just fall on deaf ears. I believe instead of adding tons of new units with ridiculous names, or copying and pasting the exact same models but giving it a different name, or adding tons of new buildings with tons of new effects and addons that you should really focus on fixing what the game already has in it. More and more content doesn't make for a better game especially when there is no uniformity or it's broken. I have even gone so far as to download the DOW 2 models and implement them into the game myself and customize the Nid's to my own liking which I have spent hours doing to make sure the race is actually quite enjoyable. I simply do not understand why these simple changes continue to elude you guys. I've asked about this before but was told you can't add in some of the content due to copyright issues but that makes no sense because you've done it anyway but not the way it should have been. This mod is going from warhammer 40 k lore to whatever floats our boat lore. It's sad to see the game being butchered like this all because of a few simple changes that could be done within a few hours and easily implemented into the game. All in all I appreciate the mod and hope my criticism is looked upon to be constructive and offensive.

Units: What in the hell is an uberfex? Where do you see that in any codex or W40k lore or anywhere. It's like you guys just had the spare DOW 2 model laying around and wanted to put it in the game but instead of overwriting the crummy old lackluster screamer killer and hellfex models you just added a made up new unit and gave it a ridiculous name and made it bigger. Completely breaks immersion and logic. And what is with this new Tervigon unit? What is that? I'll tell you what it is, it's terrible. Absolutely terrible. Same exact model as the uberfex(every time I say that name I die a little inside) doesn't even look like a tervigon and it's abilities follow nothing of the W40K lore?? Why do you do this? I mean you could have at least spent 5 minutes to custom add an egg sac or some cheezy texture to the model at least instead of the same exact model. That's just lazy.

Sound: Ok I have no idea why but some nid units like warriors are just ninja's I guess because they make absolutely no sound with their default attack. SMH. What version of UA is this? Almost 2.0? Come on, did we just forget to add it or do we not care or what is the deal? There should also be some sound fx for the nids from other players perspective instead of just the nid players perspective because a swarm of bugs shouldn't be silent, makes no sense. As a nid player I'm able to hear all kinds of snarls and growls (sometimes) but my opponent sees an army of silent skipping bugs that are completely soundless.

Economy: This is something that's actually good, I'm liking the added capillary tower that adds requisition and some aura effects. Great implementation into the game. I do think ripper swarms should actually be a "swarm" instead of 5 at most small little bugs. I miss the 10 man ripper swarms but I heard that causes some pathway issues so why not custom model the single ripper swarm into multiple rippers that make up a single unit? Would actually make rippers worthwhile for offensive reasons.

Upgrades: I don't understand this either, why is it I can upgrade to crushing claws on one of the 5 or 6 carnifex variants with no visual difference.... again what version is this? almost 2.0? How long has UA been out? years! and still this simple little thing cannot be implemented?

I'm really upset about the Tyranid Faction. I've been playing UA since the very first release and have been a supporter ever since. I have a few suggestions which I believe would really help immersion and to better your mod.

Buildings: Some nid buildings are static while some are alive and moving, makes no sense and would really be nice to have any sort of animation even if the building just wiggles or something. Another great thing would be rotating building placement instead of the door of every building facing the same way. I don't know if such a simple thing is possible or not but that would make for so much greater immersion.

Units: This is something I have asked for every single release and never does it get considered or implemented. I don't understand why you guys do not use the DOW 2 models for the Tyranids instead of the static lackluster old looking models? I've asked about this before only to be told that it was a copyright issues which makes no sense at all because you do have some of the DOW 2 nid models such as the swarmlord, uberfex, and a few other models. Why can't we have the nice animated fluid and really great looking gaunt models or any of the other models? What is so difficult about copying and pasting a few simple texture files? This would really do the Nid's some much deserved justice.

@Mavrik347 Hey I thought I would give you a friendly tip on how to play this mod correctly. In order to play the correct version of the game for the mod to work you need to go to your steam user interface, under library right click sins of a solar empire and go to properties, then go to the betas tab, then on the drop down menu click the correct version of the game you wish to play. The mod should work then.

Above it says requires outlaw dlc, in the file readme, says it needs forbidden worlds and stellar phenemonena dlc. Can you please be a bit more specific? Either way I've tried tons of combinations, reducing graphics to bare minimum, and all the things stated on this mods page and nothing works. Mod is broken.

tried to play v.4 with outlaw alone and with stellar dlc. both times there were bugs and crashes. the game is at v1.86 though, and I can't revert to 1.85.

FIX: I'm running v0.3, I turned off the bloom, Sampling, and Filtering in the graphics and that seemed to let me play longer than a few min. Don't know how they are connected. My rig is more than capable of handling the game on ultra high settings no prob. Another issue I fixed was the caldari trade port building research was not the right pre-requisite for unlocking the trade building. I managed to fix this by going into the mod folder/gameinfo/player_caldaristate and editing the entityDefname "researchsubject_planetmoduleaccess_markettech to blahblahblah marketphase. Allowed me to research the correct "offworld export" research to unlock the trade building unlike before. Currently seeking out new bugs.

Playing on 1.82 Sins Rebellion with correct dlc and still experiences crashes. Done large address aware too.

Agreed, I have downloaded several times and ensured that I'm using the correct version and DLC but ship textures are randomly bugged, animations bugged, and crashes after 10 min or so every time.

I'm getting a crash too on startup, get the splash screen and then ctd. Happened after I installed this mod. Using Steam version, followed all directions, daylight savings is off.

Is there a way to manually convert the tyranid models to the newer models used by the Fan Addons? Idk why you guys kept the old rusty playdo looking nids and added things like the "Uberfex?" What is that? What is that supposed to be? And it has the nice slim model, while the other fex's have the old looking models? The nid army just doesn't look right with the blend of the new models and old rustic models IMO.

971 hours on track. I LOVE THIS MOD! One thing I really like to add with this mod aside from new music, maps, skins, etc., is the fall back mod. I really feel like that simple addition adds realism to the game. It causes units to fall back w/o you being able to control the unit anymore until their morale is restored. It works perfectly in conjunction w/UA.

Could it be possible to add something to the mod that makes tyranids fearless when around synapse creatures? Or perhaps a higher morale regeneration rate? Is it possible to add fx to they nids and hear them snarl or growl in some alien tone when in combat? Kind of like how the marines charge forward saying random quotes?

Mod team, thank you for all the hard work and bringing the W40K universe to life with this mod.
