Game Description:

Them & Us is a hardcore, survival horror game with a focus on atmosphere and player immersion.

The year is 1978 A lone bus, A terrible crash, out upon the old and winding dirt roads which skirt a vast American wilderness. A survivor. A young woman, her mind scarred by a life of tragedy, her name is Alicia. She is alone. She is injured. And around her, quietly, slowly, a surreal and deadly nightmare unfolds.

Fighting for her life, Alicia she finds herself in the midst of events she does not understand- a ‘change’ taking grip on the world around her. It’s nature, it’s cause, unknown.

Game Writer - Responsibilities:

•You will be in charge of writing all the files and documents that tell the story of the world around the main plot of “Them – and - Us”.

•Work with game designers to author character dialogue that supports game design goals while staying on-brand.

•Create titles and descriptions for items and main objects in the game that are evocative of their function in game.

•Review and update existing scripts as necessary, and understanding the effect those updates have on the game narrative as a whole.

•Ensure that all narrative reference documents are up to date and clear.

•Understand the gameplay elements and assess how they could affect the development of the story.

Game Writer - Qualifications:

At least 1 year of professional experience in scriptwriting or relevant experience. Or 3 years of writing books, novels.

• Understanding of Narrative game design and the role that dialogue and text have on player experience.

• Enthusiasm for old school games such as Silent Hill, Resident Evil is required.

Professional writing samples are required for consideration.

Payment:

Right now the game is in early access and all the proceeding received from early access “that currently is extremely small” went to development specifically in (Programming the Game). We cannot offer monetary rewards right now but we are offering royalties once the game releases end of this 2019 year.

Please note that once we update the game to our customers and supporters the sell situation may take a better turn, meaning that we will be able to pay you even if the game is in Early Access.
