Hi All,

We are currently a two man team of Unreal developers looking for an additional programmer to join us.
Specifically we are looking for someone who has experience developing and/or playing competitive multiplayer fps games, and specializes in networking.

I'm a 3D Art student at Gnomon, and have experience in all aspects of 3D and 2D art, Game design, and Mapping, and have worked professionally as a freelance archvis artist for multiple now completed buildings / renovations. Somewhat outdated academic Portfolio here: Artstation.com

The programmer is pursuing his Bachelors in Computer Science, and has extensive experience in Ue4, and working as a gameplay programmer on SkyWind



Project Canvas is a fast paced Online Multiplayer Arena FPS with heavy focus on the Movement Sandbox which draws strong influence from Respawn Entertainment style fps games. We seek to refine and improve these mechanics, our own weapon and gunplay sanbox, and the available gamemodes to create a more competitive experience, with a focus on much smaller 2v2 or 3v3 team sizes.

We strive to achieve the following principles as much as possible:

  • Demonstrating the importance & potential of both horizontal & vertical mobility and how map design choices are reflective of and directly influence the movement & weapon sandbox.

  • Creating systems that allow for the maximum player agency and creativity in the moment to moment gameplay.

  • Incorporating gameplay oriented designs that intuitively reflect their intended use, allowing for a natural learning curve from pure observation of other players.

  • Maintaining a strong balance between the importance of Movement and Aiming skill.

  • Supporting emergent gameplay, or otherwise unintended mechanics that benefit the player experience.

Currently the project is in the early preproduction and exploration phase, with the basic Sandbox in development We are also currently exploring a stylized Art Deco themed artstyle in concepting.

As project development continues, many iterations, mechanics, maps, and modes will be tested, everything listed above is subject to change.

This project is planned to be a free release on steam once a somewhat polished prototype has been finished. Depending on the level of community interaction and support we receive, the acquisition of funding from a publisher, or private investors to hire a full time dev team to ship an official title will be explored.
