Engine Extension Developer / Maintainer job

We're looking for capable developers who are interested in participating in an open-source community project of extending and improving the closed-source engine of Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge for modding purposes. We're currently short on people that are able to do project maintenance and code reviewing, and because of that have a lot of stale pull requests which are awaiting to be reviewed.

Phobos is a community engine extension project providing a set of new features and fixes for Yuri's Revenge based on modified YRpp and Syringe to allow injecting code. It's meant to accompany Ares which is another engine extension project that is currently stale and closed-source.

Required:

• Experience in programming, preferably C++
• Basic Git and GitHub knowledge
• Basic understanding of low-level stuff (assembly, registers, memory structure etc)
• Willingness to do code reviewing and project maintenance
• Willingness to learn

Would be a plus:

• Reverse engineering / disassembling / decompiling experience
• Hooking / runtime patching / memory injection knowledge
• Software / game engine architectures & design patterns knowledge; understanding of game engine programming
• Interest in / knowledge of Red Alert 2, Command & Conquer or RTS in general
