I started a new game 3d game in Unity 2 weeks ago.
Multiplayer 100 players on map, crafting, survival.
here are some screenshots, dont mind the graphics, if you are interested come back and read more:
Oh, hi, you are back. So the reason i told you, don't mind the graphics, is that im obviously not a 3d modeller nor an artist. These simple lowpoly graphics are just for an illustration purposes, i mean- the player character is rigged and skinned and animated but that's about it.
I love the low poly graphics, i think it's cool now, and also i loved Runescape so i'd like to keep that sh**ty graphics, if possible. But that will be your job, as an 3d generalist, to decide and lead.
I like to keep it low, do a simple 3d game, in 2 people with following characteristics :
- Multiplayer, 100 people on single "map"
- Crafting, currently you can craft table, fire and pixeaxe
- Survival, you will have health, cold, hunger, etc.. you know
- Competetive element ( possible, but not necessarily fighting )
This game is aimed not to be a full-screen, fancy-graphics game that requires 100% concentration, but more like a windowed next-to-facebook relaxing click-on-a-tree-and-wait-5-min game ( but not like those facebook-ish games )
I'd like to finish this game this year, with microtransaction monetization at the end, targeted on win pc.
