Hello all, and welcome to the Visual Novel Developers group forum. This forums is meant to assist Developers and Publishers to get that much needed awareness for their products.

Even though this is a small forum, some basic guidelines need to be set out in order to help us stay on the right track.

1. No spamming and No harassment- This rule is made to prevent unnecessary spamming and unwanted harassment on this forum especially in the Development board.

2. Constructive criticism- When Reviewing and/or giving any opinion about a product or a creator, make sure you use constructive criticism to point out the flaws in the aforementioned subjects. No we are not interested in your personal opinion unless it's made with some level of logical reasoning. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.

3. Jobs- When posting Jobs, make sure to clearly outline what you can and cannot do with the addition of samples and your price rates. Threads made that do not follow this will be pointed out to the User and failure to change it will lead to the thread being edited and/or locked.

4.Polls- when starting a poll or voting in a poll, make sure to do just what it asks. That is to vote. Do not add your own personal opinions to the vote unless it is asked and even if so, make sure it adheres to the rules.

5. Crowdfunding/patreon- When adding a link to a crowdfunding site make sure that you have something to show for your work. You don't expressly need to have a demo, but showing Character designs, backgrounds and your progress is enough to qualify. simply put we want to be sure that you're working on your project and that if we fund you , it doesn't end up being a scam.

6.Concepts- When posting the concept for your game, there is no limit to how thin it can be. Just make sure there's a short story summary about the story so we have an idea of what you're saying.

7. Collaborations- While most forums tend to stay away from these type of threads, It is allowed here but with a lot of restrictions nonetheless. Firstly, all posts on the ideas should only contain material related to the story being developed. secondly, the user who starts the thread would be the de-facto director and should maintain order in the thread. Thirdly, the moment a moderator or administrator notices that a collaboration has gone out of hand it will be deleted instantly, and all members who took part in the causation of the act would be banned indefinitely.

8. Fandoms- Well... I don't want to talk to much about that since there's very little you can do to stop a raging fan. But please note that this board is not for criticism even if it's constructive. it's only for fans to express love and release some of their pent up madness.

9.Promotion- This group is primarily for the promotion of visual novels so any developer or fan may post about his/her Visual novel to create Awareness. Crowdfunding and patreon is allowed here as well.

10.Development- For this board each company/Developer/Publisher should have only one thread each. Multiple threads will be deleted to keep the forums as compact as possible.

11. Publishing- This board is for Publishers or PR guys to find those developers who want to have their novels published. Only Publishers should post here, and developers who want to get published should reply to that post.

That about sums up the rules of this forum. When the rules are breached various sanctions may/may not be meted out depending on the gravity of the act. everyone gets a first time warning unless you did it with clear malice.

If you have any questions about the forums or still feel that something is unclear you can send me a direct message and i'll answer as quickly as possible.

Regards,

Epic Works.
