Oilrush, the upcoming RTS game based on the unigine engine, is available for pre-ordering now. You can order it for linux or windows. Unigine also released some sales statistics.

The upcoming multi-platform RTS game, and showcase for the unigine engine, Oilrush is available for pe-ordering.
You can get it now for $19.95 (14.43€) at the official unigine store.
According to the official game website, the benefits for pe-ordering are:

  • Direct contribution to the indie developer
  • Early access to exclusive game-related materials

Therefore you'll get a developer build after the purchase, and updated builds as soon as they are ready.
Sadly, in the same news, they announced, that they had to postpone the release of the game to June.

The sales statistics show, that while not having many sales yet, linux seems to be the main platform with 90%.

Oilrush is an RTS game about the fight for oil, as the most important resource, in a post-apocalyptic flooded world. It will be available for Linux, Windows and PlayStation 3.
Oilrush is based on Unigine, a modern multi-platform 3D engine, already known for their Heaven Benchmark
. It supports Linux, Windows, PlayStation3 and Android.

I preordered this game within an hour of the store page coming online. :D The price was a little disappointing though...I was fully prepared to pay $40-60.

Unigine is a GREAT linux compatible engine! Oilrush will be a very good RTS.
