Hello users of Desura.

I am currently programming a game in Java and would like to know if it would be easier to just make a game with Unity... do I require any other languages to program within unity?

Thanks.

Zed.

Unity uses Javascript and C# (C-Sharp), Ease of use depends on what type of game you wish to create and if you are using any libraries in Java to help you.

Generally speaking - Unity is easy to make games with if you have OOP experience, and C# isn't that much of a jump to learn. The most difficult things you will likely encounter are the basics; things like creating objects & communicating variables between them and other beginner stuff.

I would reccomend Unity3D - but then again I don't really like using Java :)

I hope this helps.

C# and Java are pretty similar. I've found it pretty easy looking at scripts. I have been using Unity 3D the past few days and getting to know it! It's actually pretty good!

The only thing is I need someone to model and do graphics design for houses and stuff in Blender.

Do you know anyone or could you point me in a direction to get one?

I notice that you are a lead developer on desura?

Or so it says. Very nice ^.^ :D
