Mirai Clock uses a technology called Live2D. It allows 2D characters to have fluid, realistic animations as if they were 3D. Could this amazing technology be the future of Japanese gaming and animation?

I'm going to be a bit skeptical about new animation software until its used for more than just moe blob stuff. At least until it does something more gritty such as stuff that includes Mechs and/or scifi anime.

Hate to be a buzz kill but someone I know who works in the industry was not impressed with it. So I don't think it will gain as much traction as you think.
