This is a timelapse of a (half) mansion, since someone requested one. 8 hours and 38 minutes of footage shortened for your pleasure. Enjoy! Though, not completely. This map isn't done as of yet. Needs more sound and ambiance so I won't have to resort to *ahem*more3minutemusic*cough*.
Thats cool, I would like to try making a timelapse of a large outdoor map. Two questions...
[1] Would Fraps be able to do this?
[2] I don't know how to edit videos, I haven't gotten around to trying it. To scared to try, any suggestions?
[1]Yes Fraps can record on-screen, if you have Windows 7, Vista works I think, XP does not, on the General tab, there is an Aero Desktop mode, that will allow you to record on your computer screen, BUT be warned, Fraps files are HUGE and can take all your space, so I suggest getting something like Hypercam or Camtasia, where it saves a lot of space.
[2]There are many different editor programs, windows movie maker is a freebie, but it would not be as good as maybe Sony Vegas (cost money, you can pirate it if you want)or VideoPad Video Editor, where you get a lot of features, and it has a free version!
God, that map was amazing!, i would like to be that creative. Oh well, see this gave me more ideas for the level editing, thank you for that! really, it was awesome :D
