Choose your students courses, build their class rooms and dorm rooms. Watch them go learn the spells you taught them and use those skills at an end of year competition that includes wand duels, broom racing, alchemy and divination. Take the money you win in these events and add onto your school, hire more teachers, and repair the damage running a magical school will likely cause. Then, keep that up for 6 school years and you might even have a few graduate intact!
I added a new spell, and ice blast that freezes everything it hits. Effectively stunning enemies, and even freezing the ground. It's really effective on larger groups of troops, and helps make the battlefield represent the wizards spell casting abilities. It makes the whole game seem more alive.
Here's a look at what you build to unlock the freeze spell! Where would any Ice Mage be without huge frozen crystals? Video preview coming soon! What would you like to see?

Looks cool
How is the development coming along? I like what I see :D
Great! I just did a big post (which will be up soon), and there's a new screenshot. I just finished up classrooms hallways and doors and I'm working on drawing different students animations so you can really see them walking around and interacting with the school you build.
(Thanks for being a long-time follower too!)
Hi! I like seeing HP stuff being done. I actually tried doing some HP related games but nothing too fancy, I'll send you a pic when I can!
I like how the whole concept is. Isometric-pixel is really cool. The only thing I am concerned about is movement and combat. I can't imagine how flying around feels in an isometric environment. The combat part I believe you have in mind is to direct the spell where the mouse is at. Or is it all done via keys?
One way or the other, I love it! Keep dem updates coming :)
Cool man, Thanks for the praise.
We won't really have any problems with movement. The game is actually all done in 3d, with the pixel art in place according to what it should look like. So for example, when a broom racer goes around the track, there is a 3D model of that happening, but you only see pixel art. This actually solves a some of the problems from isometric programming and makes some more things possible over the traditional approach.
For combat, there will be a separate class when you give the students instructions and teach them the spells that they will use. You'll see them dueling each other, and have students from competing schools show up to duel against at the end of the year.
Looks promising guys!
Thanks man! I'm feeling pretty excited as well. :)
I ******* love this. Tracked.
Thanks for the follow! I'll be fixing the user interface and adding terrain editing in and we'll have a new video in 2 weeks or so. :)
*Ahem* Harry Potter ;)? Looks fantastic by the way!
For sure! And while I won't be sticking very strongly to Harry potter style schooling, it will be undeniably influenced by the book series/movies (how could it not?). One example of this, is while students will ride brooms in a race, they won't be playing quidditch.
