Govern. Each star has it's own government with specific laws to be followed or broken. Government can be taken over by players or controlled by AI.
Pirate & Enforce. Steal goods, ships, take lives and acquire riches as a pirate, or collect bounties and hunt pirates to keep order in the galaxy.
Trade resources, ships, and other commodities between space stations and players for a profit.
Build your ship of choice from the ground up, purchase a ship from a shop, or modify a ship that you have "Acquired".
Engage in exciting combat with procedurally generated weaponry of many types such as lasers, rockets, and rifles in various environments such as zero-g, planets, stations, and ships.
Engineer various systems on your ship to fine tune it's capabilities such as shields, radar, jammers, FTL drives, oxygen filters, targeting systems, and more.
Survive. Purchase food & drink from stations or scavenge for them on planets, construct oxygen systems on ships and stations, wear space suits or none at all, and discover planets with breathable atmospheres.

Alpha 1.3 is now completed with many changes, a couple very minor bug fixes, and some plans for the future updates. Mac, and linux downloads are now available as well!

The future updates during Alpha will be focused on building up towards the Multiplayer beta targeted for this summer. Survival Singleplayer wont have a whole lot of attention, but there will likely be small additions as new features are built for multiplayer. Once multiplayer is in beta, the attention will turn back towards singleplayer.
There will be many changes/additions in the future updates, the below are just the key required features that will be definite.

Alpha 2.0: Multiplayer station shops and trading
Multiplayer beta 1.0!
Beta: Multiplayer computer systems (Radar, jammers, shields, ftl drives, etc.)
