Warzone 2100 is a real-time action and strategy game set on earth in the 21st century. Upon entering the postnuclear world of Warzone 2100, you establish your base. Here you conduct research, design and manufacture vehicles, build new structures, and prepare your plans of global conquest. Each campaign features a large campaign map and six or more sub-maps. As key objectives are reached on the campaign map, missions are activated on the sub-maps. These missions are varied and feature everything from hit-and-run attacks to holding territory. The combat is fast and frantic with amazing effects and a true 3-D world with rotatable and zoomable cameras. Weapons range from bullets and lasers to explosive weapons that blast large areas of the highly detailed 3-D battlefield.

As an old-school RTS fan who dislikes the majority of the modern RTS market (if any are found) due to a focus on SPEEDSPEEDSPEED instead of letting you do it your way, this game is a game for the various types of gamers in the world.
Now, this is Old-School not the New-School. There are no RUSHES BEATS EVERYTHING **** going on here. Turtling is an acceptable tactic. Many games don't do that. Now playing the game is simple but mastering it is hard.
If you like RTS as they were, then play this game. If you don't then take a deep breath before taking the pludge.

Played it as a little boy and liked it. It's pretty deep and makes a lot of fun to play and replay. :)
Better then ps1 version
I bought this game way back when and enjoyed the RTS storyline, but really fell in love with the huge range of customiseable units. The work done since then by the resurrection project has been great, and I was delighted to find this game again a few months ago. Highly recommend it for people who want to get their old fashioned RTS on and do things their own way.
