i think the right one is better. the grey on the left one stands out a bit too much imo
Agreed.
Unless they want him to stand out, I choose the right one :)
I choose the right one
Thanks guys! So far the right one is winning over on Facebook too. It is more than likely that we will go with the right one.
The left one looks just like it's unfinished with this gray parts, so i'm also for the right one.
...unless you can make these parts more dark metal like.
Also, i guess you're going to see a lot of this enemy type during the game, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some variation in it as well.
e.g. use attachments and even split the model up into parts like head-body-arms-legs-additional armor that can be combined randomly by code.
Maybe you could even add variable color for skin, armor and other stuff by using a special mask texture in the material.
I totally see what you mean, and it is likely we will, resources allowing, make several different kinds of this enemy type that all look a little bit different.
Right one I like more.
the one on the right look like someone i dont want to mess with
(but i will mess with and kill him :3)
and will there be female enemies?
There actually will be female enemies. We just finished a concept for one like yesterday.
I agree with the majority here, the right one looks a bit better. The grey just doesn't quite fit with the rest of the outfit imo.
The model looks great, awesome job as always!
I personally prefer the right one, the grey on the left one has a lack of texturing and makes it look as if it is still a really early WIP or just lack of attention in those areas.
Definitely left. The color scheme gives the character more depth and makes him more noticeable. The right one is too flat and seems like it might blend into the background too easily.
