Hey guys I have just submitted Void of Darkness to INDIE/MOD/Desura community. I am at a stage in the game now where I will either seek alpha funding or release some form of playable build to garner suggestions in order to help me shape the game.
For now Void of Darkness is inspired by the classic space games Starflight 1 & 2 by Binary systems. Since a project to develop Starflight 3 by fans has been dread in the water for the past 16 years, and I do not have the rights to develop Starflight, I decided that I would go with inspired by and 'spiritual successor'. I in no way believe that I can innovate the genre such as Binary did with Starflight in 1989.
However, I intend to build upon the themes and concepts they created, with a more modern look, gameplay and functionality.
I will re-post blogs here from the main site, so that interested persons are not overloaded with too much information at once. If you have any questions, feel free to post comments as much as you like, or post on my forums @ Void of Darkness
You may also use the shout box there if you like, and additionally, no email validation is required, so registering is as easy as typing a user name and password, because I know how much hassle it is sometimes to be members of too many forums.
