We have been doing some clean up on some screens that were nothing more than programmer art and boxes. But digging deeper we also added some great stuff under the surface. All items can now have what we are calling effects. The effects have a duration, amount, percentage chance to hit, and the effected attribute. That's it. So you can have an effect that does damage direct with a zero duration and 100 percent change to hit, or a damage over time that hits your enemy slowly. This system was put into place with modding in mind. We want the player to be able to create a piece of equipment in a relatively simple manner and it should just work. We are doing our best only to restrict were it is absolutely necessary so that this game can be whatever you want to make it. The video below shows a sneak peek on the inventory screen and some of the basic gear and how the screen shows it's stats. Let us know what you think.
