Earth and the core worlds are suffering. Overpopulation and lack of resources are leading to unrest and desperation. That's where you come in. You've been recruited to colonize a planet more than 4 light years away. It's your job to save the human race from its own greed and consumption. The game is experienced from a top-down view allowing for the deliberate and creative crafting of every item, vehicle, and structure in use. Using a scriptable and dynamic artificial intelligence the AI Overlord will change up every aspect of the game. I am currently in animation land. We need our player to have proper animations so we can shoot from either hand with out pistols. To do this I am basically redoing the entire animation for the player taking into account that we will be pulling individual parts out of the spritesheets to animate in different combinations. This allows for the run and shoot.

Along with this push to free us from left handed shooting only, I have been plugging in new default looks for the character as well. So you come planet side with lesser looking equipment and no cowboy hat. During this process I have been using Spriter Pro and learning how to better export the art using it. So now I am down to one export process not doing individual parts like I used to. So I have a several hour long process down to 2 minutes.

I'll post some screen shots of the next phase as I try and get the player animations into the game...

I got the shoulders to draw in the game and I can walk around in them with the old stuff on still, looks a bit goofy. I cannot shoot yet because that does not work without all the other things in so that is a long haul deal. So I gotta keep plugging parts in and seeing how it takes shape.

I finally got the new animations in. Here is the new shooting stance for a singular pistol. Up next is getting dual pistols working after playing a bit making sure things all look right.

Started working on ability to shoot with two pistols, but put that on hold to fix path finding for now. I will be back on this soon.
