Fast pace cellshading flying action. Soar the skies as you take on the most vicious enemies above the ground. Experience an airborne adventure in an all new art style that will take you to something different and exciting. With the possibility to add just about anything you can imagine into the game, the sky it's not the limit. It's just the beginning.
The holy trinity is complete. Contains 3 paintschemes plus a white repaint template with wireframe UVs for guidance.
Thanks :)
No problem. I couldn't include the actual photoshop file because it was 76MB. It's impractical for someone who just wants to play with the aircraft to have to download such a large file that they'll never use.
I like it! **
Out of curiosity: are you planning to do more fictional planes like the Fenrir or the Wyvern?
Only AC3 planes for now.
It looks quite awesome. Would you happen to plan on doing the XR-900 at some point?
Yes
You are a god.
Shame you only do AC3 planes, but still great. Nice work.
I think he said for now, maybe more planes I think he means.
That is not true.
Xpand has also made models of XF-108 and Il-76 for VTRP project.
My comment was more about the other Ace Combat planes, like the ADF Falken and the Fenrir.
Glad that even someone remembers the best AC game of all time.
Noticed the same issue that Nergal01 had with his updated XA-20 addon, the horizontal stabilizer lifts in the opposite direction, going down when you want to ascend and vice verse. Other then that it handles like a dream.
Actually, that's on purpose. Since the pitch control surfaces are on the main wing what happens is, when you pitch up the ailerons go down to increase lift in the wing (like flaps), that, combined with the fact that the plane has a static horizontal tail, creates a rotation (torque) around the spanwise axis of the plane making it pitch up.
Vice versa for pitch down.
Also it worked like that in AC3.
Needless to say the effect of that is greatly exaggerated in the games.
Well I guess I overlooked that feature in my last playthrough (which was 3 years ago), thanks for the info. :)
AC3 did have a few mistakes regarding that. The MIG-33 for example, has the ailerons reversed, and there are some more with weird opposing animations in which the main wing and horizontal tail cancel each other out.
