Greetings IndieDB peoples,
My name is Joel and I'm new to this site here. I've been working on a game titled "Vardrik" currently and just uploaded a few screens and a video of it to the site.
"Vardrik" is going to be a side scrolling adventure game blending the likes of Zelda II and Castlevania: SotN. In it you take control of an undead protagonist with no name, and no real explanation for why he is 'alive' again and what his purpose is. Vardrik, a floating skull that he meets in the game, helps guide him towards some sort of meaning for his existence.
Stick em with the pointy end!
Right now I'm planning on implementing a functioning equipment manager as well as a magic system, but this IS my first 100% D.I.Y game, so I may not be able to have everything exactly as I planned.
