Untitled Beta 2 was released about a week ago, I wanted to highlight some of the changes made, and what is coming next in Beta 3.
Two New Colors:
Two new colors have been added, Orange and Violet.
Abilities and Traits:
Warm colors are abilities, that you have to activate. Cool colors are traits that are inherently active. The complimentary color is the one straight across that has a similar ability, for example Red is Double Jump its complimentary is Green (Higher Jump).
Graphical User Interface:
A Graphical User Interface was added to the game, so while you play you can (optionally) see what your score, multipliers, and time is.
New Menu Options:
In Beta 2 the Level Generation options changed to allow each colors to be set independently. I wanted the player to be able to quickly change the Level Generation. I also added a toggle button for the Graphical User Interface.
There is also a new Particle effect that I added last minute. So when you pickup a power up its explodes outwards.
What is coming in Beta 3:
Beta 3 I am going to focus on the website related features. A high score board will be added that will be sortable, and accessible on the website. As well as some other informational pages. The changes to the game will be relatively small, some changes to the scoreboard. I also made some changes to the particle effect for pickups (reflects the color of the pickup)
