How the minimaps' images are made; -> image is then overlayed/positioned over buildings precisely (screenshot taken in orthographic, positioned in orthographic so it is exact); -> ortho. camera positioned/sized to get full view of UI image; -> rendered to RenderTexture -> RenderTexture used on UI element on HUD -> individual important items show up (only on mini-map) from having large 3D spheres about 500 units above the objects)
