Hello everyone !
As you can see, the released date of the game previously planned for July has been change for the end of the summer. The reasons :
- I recently started to work with the Grey Smoke team on its project, State of Fear, as its new concept artist. These activities takes me some times I can't give in the Underlight development for now.
- I take a resolution about the future of Underlight seeing the reactions of players about the horror genre in video games : the truth is a lot of gamers can't find their pleasure playing horror games anymore. Same gameplay, same ideas, similarities between them...
I want Underlight to renew the horror style, with immersive story and atmosphere. To do that, I have to change the entire base concept of the game and imagine a new way to play it.
So yeah, the gameplay demonstration available on IndieDB does not represent what Underlight will be anymore. The universe and the story will be the same, but the game will receive a total remake of the gameplay type, so the player will be able to feel the protagonist's terror discovering the clues of the story of the mine.
