November was a big month for the game's development. All the major pieces in the campaign rebalancing for 2.5 were completed and a load of new features, new items and new maps were added.

Note: we have long provided a monthly update at our website, ufoai.org, but I thought we'd try posting here as well. If this is something the community here wants to see more of, we'll continue to post them on the IndieDB/ModDB/Desura/SlideDB network in the future.

November was a big month for the game's development. All the major pieces in the campaign rebalancing for 2.5 were completed and a load of new features, new items and new maps were added. Here's the run-down:

* Campaign
** New aircraft equipment: Alien Polymer Armour, Alien EW System
** Production and disassembly values balanced
** Soldiers now retain equipment when not assigned to a dropship
** Equip soldiers from the employee hire screen
* Battlescape
** New weight/encumbrance system
** New weapons: Bolter Antimatter Ammo, Encased Plasma Ammo
** Late-game weapons (needlers/particle beam) adjusted
** New mission briefing window
** Smoke/fire/gas fields now last longer
** Support for cameras
* Maps
** New map theme: city3
** New map Solarplanet
** Several map fixes
* Android
** New version released
** GUI Revamp
** Lightmap fixes
** Added battlescape touch scrolling
In total, 309 commits were made in UFO:AI repository in October.

i agree as a big time xcom fan you brought the love back for this kind of game.great job.and as a modder myself i love the models they look so much better then the original models of xcom.

I stopped checking the website once I realized that I could download it on Desura, sorry : P

Monthly updates on the Desura network(with Indie/Mod/Slide DB and Desura) would be great.
