After 2 years of waiting, UFHO2 is here. If you like strategy and challenges, UFHO2 will put your brain to the test. UFHO2 is strategy at its finest, packed in a competitive board game. In this sequel, things get bigger and better in every way, with new stages, more board layouts, all new characters, new game modes, and more powerups, leaderboards and achievements. What more can you ask for?

Some info about the team. I'm doing the majority of the work but I don't do everything myself!

So most of the time when I speak about UFHO2, I write "I did this" or "I thought of this".
To be honest, at this point a few people have been involved in the process apart from me, though in a smaller measure. Workload is A LOT, so I'm trying to hire/ask for help whenever I find somebody who's up to the task (only the best!!). Let me talk about them a little.

Giovanni VadalĂ
is the man behind all the UFHO characters, he modeled and animated them all (there's 10 different species up to now, with 5 more to come from the Kickstarter backers of THE CREATIVE MIND tier). Giovanni worked super fast, I was almost not able to keep up with the pace and implement the characters as he was dishing them out.
So for the curious technicians among you, he used Blender to model them, then passed the models to me to skin them in 3DS Max (it's the only 3D software I know how to use), then I passed them to him to animate, and then he gave them back to me to texture and integrate in Unity.
Nice workflow, eh?

Francesco D'Andrea
, obviously, did the soundtrack and the sound effects. He dug up in his production cave in Lille for the whole of August, and emerged one month later with this wonderful work: Francescodandrea.bandcamp.com and a bunch of sound effects, and voices.By the way, Francesco has been featured on the Bandcamp homepage today in the Staff Picks with his album Quick Party before the End of the World. Not as good as the UFHO2 one, but not too bad either... :)

Finally, Erica Tortora - a girl I found here in the office doing nothing, immediately hired - worked on the game interface, both during the match and in the menus. She produced a wealth of icons, labels, buttons, emoticons (for the chat balloons), etc. and now the game looks better (and more complete) than ever before.

So yeah, this is much of 'the team' up to now. The rest is up to me (Ciro Continisio, nice to meet you): programming, design, all the rest of the 3D graphics (props, scenarios, the board, etc.), piecing everything together in Unity3D, marketing, promotion, business and in general, decisions... ... :D I'm basically sitting all the time doing nothing!
