Post news Report RSS Hats and Pushable Crates

The Poor people of Mekkan have suffered rain without hats, sun without hats, and snow without hats. Suffering from wet hair, blisters, and frostbite. "No more" we said, and we went down their on our two feet and yelled at the top of our lungs "Let There be Hats" and it was so, the people of Mekkan found themselves suddenly not only with a good few hats but the ability to wear them.

Again, we wish you a Happy Holidays, and a wonderful New Year.

Of course, that's not the only thing we wrote this news update for, We here have also been hard doing some work, or at least whatever work we can be doing over the Holidays between dealing with our own families and shopping around for nice gifts to give. But what have we done you ask? Really what have we done?

Hats.

Once Upon a time there existed a place where Men, Women, and people of all ages wandered devoid of Hats. Apparently the concept of putting bits of fabric on your head wasn't come up with.

Well, not exactly a few hats, I mean, there's a Top hat, and a party hat, so you can... go to the ball? Do business? Thrown a mean Children's Party?

Right.

In Other news the arty guy who makes nice squiggles on paper has provided us with some nice squiggles on paper to look at while we work. I once tried making nice squiggles myself but only bad squiggles came of it. Of the squiggles we have a nice little snowy scene depicting some nice mountainous terrain and towers full of ice (Good thing we have hats, Right?) As well as a few pieces of concept art for both general character design as well as a few weapons and pieces of gear. I particularly like the Human Warrior we were provided with, he doesn't quite give off the feel of your stereotypical warrior though, more like someone who is well balanced in the regard, medium Armour, a good sword, some knives, and other gear for when it's needed, someone sly and crafty.

Aside from concept art and hats we've also been working on server side physics. Aside from some pushable crates we're also looking to eventually get boats working in a respectable manner so that you and your buddies can crew up a ship and go gallivanting on the high seas picking fights with people you really shouldn't pick fights with, or just a little raft or boat for fishing if you're into that sort of thing. Either way we have a small video of what exactly it is and how it's working so far. Hint: It's not the greatest, but we're working on it.
