Immerse yourself into the first-person role-playing game set in the very world of post-truth politics!
Use your wits in variously covert or violent ways, in order to survive in a brutal and decadent world which frighteningly looks like a small-scale version of ours. Namely, the Dutch seaside resort of Noordwijk-aan-Zee. Become Tzipora Herzog, who repays her student debts by reluctantly running security errands for an extremely wealthy, yet highly dysfunctional family. Of course, that is just the beginning of the story, as you are about to stumble upon a Cold War era conspiracy involving Neo-Nazis, Catholic Fundamentalists and Old money dynasties, who are out for your blood...
Total Rendition 0.0.9.5 is out and sees some modest improvements, with the addition of a computer science skill, skill-based speech checks and some slight improvements the dialogue screen.
I also aim to increase the iteration speed from this point, moving on to the next version in as little time as possible. It will inspire confidence in the pace of Total Rendition's development, present opportunities for players such as you to provide crucial feedback to the development of Total Rendition and provides opportunities to bring you new screenshots!
Notice the evolution of Total Rendition's skill screen:
I had to decided that - even though Total Rendition is going to be multi-platform title once completed - prototype development should be concentrated on Linux. For such very early access releases, reliant on feedback and experimentation, it is simply bound to find a more receptive audience among Linux gamers than among their Windows counterparts. Therefore, for the time being, Total Rendition 0.0.9.5 is Linux exclusive, breaking with earlier prototype versions of Total Rendition, which so far either been Windows only or bi-platform for Windows and Linux. However, a Windows version of Total Rendition 0.0.9.5 may appear on Windows in due course.
Frankly, I ought to say that owing to the efforts of a certain Yaakuro, game development with Unreal Engine 4 on Linux has become so much better! I have managed to come to grow accustomed to developing with Unreal Engine 4 running on Linux, using CodeLite and Mono, which so far have provided a welcome release from the over-engineered environments of Microsoft Visual Studio.
Support Total Rendition
As much as I would like to think Total Rendition is single-handedly developed by myself, the reality is that Total Rendition couldn't have been made with all the people I have encountered on the journey. This include those have contributed to Total Rendition, as well as those who have rendered financial support in these rather challenging times.
