TimeSurf is a fast-paced platformer focused on controlling the time flow.

Humanity is always trying to learn and control more and more aspects of life and the world surrounding them. Biology, chemistry, physics. There aren't many aspects they know a little about.
Then there is this one. Time. There isn't much people can do about the flow of time nowadays, is there? We always get born, grow up, have some fun, go to work so we can survive, maybe leave something useful for humanity, then just die. It's an unavoidable process. Or is it?
You know, some scientists are just way too crazy.

A group of them had tried to break the rule of not being able to manipulate time flow. Obviously you can't get it just right on the first try, can you? There were many failed attempts, time passed quickly...
After many years, scientists finally succeded, although their results weren't perfect just yet. Firstly, what they achieved was creating an artificial creature that possessed the ability to control time, whereas the plan was for humans to be the ones being able to. Secondly, the 'power' wasn't ideal - it was limited in duration and ways in which you could control the time. For example, it couldn't reverse the flow.
Unfortunately for the researchers, the government found out about the nature of their work and forced them to abandon the development and get rid of everything related to their research.

But they didn't give up. They are crazy after all, right?
Several years later, research was secretly resumed. Their new laboratory is somewhere on the other side of the ocean.
You wake up being taken into a plane, seems like you're still of use to them.
