Through is an RPG with a focus on tactical combat and resource management. It is heavily inspired by other Roguelikes. However, Through carries some key differences. There is a large focus on accessibility and ease of use as well as simplicity and transparent design (for instance, your character only has a Strength and Intelligence stat). If you're looking for a deep RPG system thats easy to pick-up and play but difficult to master, give Through a shot. Post news Report RSS Through v1.2 Released

Version 1.2 Release! This version contains a lot of bug fixes and new art for all the items that looks a lot more like the other art in the game (it's all the same pixel resolution now). I also added in a feature that displays what squares you can "see" when aiming ranged attacks.

New Version Through Shots

EDIT: Fixed some bugs in 1.2 and released a new version of it. Download it below:

I believe this release gets rid of most of the bugs in the game, so the next one should focus mostly on new features and/or content. If there's something specific you want, list it in the comments and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for playing!

Interface objects and items are way too high-rez imo. Doesn't do the beautiful pixelart justice :(

If you're basing this on the image, the items in that from v1.1, and 1.2 has items with the same resolution.

Some feedback. I DL'd the game and tried it twice. I chose 'normal' and finished the game by the second attempt. Game was too easy. I mean, I haven't tried the harder setting but the normal was too easy.

I like the artwork, tiles and stuff but the game could use a bit more depth. Different items, skills for all classes (not just one special), overall more gear with different attributes. More complex character creation? More different enemies, bosses, random dungeons and random rooms.

I've played ADOM a lot and one thing that finally made me quit was ASCII. Through's concept is awesome but it lacks the things that was good in ADOM.
