It's been well over a decade. The war in the wasteland lives on. The Wastes has crawled back out of the the atomic crater it came from and it is here to stay.

With the BSP format we're using, giant landscapes can finally be realized. This map is a giant battlefield in which 2 teams fight against eachother. The bases themselves have many junkyard-ish buildings in which you can find some cool ****. Including a vehicle or two :)

So, this isn't the source engine? or it is, but you use a modified version of the mapping system?, or you just have a modified version of source? I havn't seen much in the way of vehicles used in multiplayer source and I thought that was because of lag issues.

How'd you get the idea that this was the Source engine? :)

We're running on a modified QuakeWorld engine using idTech 3 technology for the maps and textures.

I guess I figured this would be source because the Half-Life Wastes mod was on the GoldSrc engine? Was there any other Wastes? Anyway thanks for clearing that up for me.

The Wastes had a short-lived Source version that was never released. However, because we want to make this a platform-agnostic standalone game with full control we don't want to subject ourselves to Valve's tech... not to mention to price tag for Source is quite steep!
