The Last Days of Magic is a platformer/RPG in the metroidvania style. There is a heavy focus on exploration and combat. Combat is centered around rapidly switching between characters of different skillsets to perform combination attacks in combat and to solve puzzles during exploration. The game incorporates hand-drawn environments and characters.
Some effects for the Alchemist’s second ability: Transmute Earth. Each playable character has two abilities tied to the left and right mouse buttons as well as other more hidden abilities dealing with movement. We’ve posted the Alchemist’s left click ability already the Acid Flask.
This ability will have a telegraph notification which will travel away from the Alchemist while the player is holding down the right mouse button. When the player lets the button go the Earth Spike rises where the telegraph was, dealing damage to enemies, flinging them up into the air, and stunning them. Transmute Earth may also be utilized in puzzle solving.
