This is a 2D RPG that we hope will knock your socks off! The base of it is about a boy who loses his special lance is has the task of getting back in his hands' Along the way are different guilds that want the boy, Monsuka, to join them so that they will be able to have to lance. You must choose the guild you want to support and do quests for them with their members to help recover the lance. This is a game mean't to be a sandbox style, (do whatever you like), type of game.

Today we come to you with a new version of The Lance's Legend, and with it comes screenshots showing off lots of new things. So, I will start off with telling about the new version.
First off, we have 5 new areas, and we changed things on every other one. The mailbox got a tiny overhaul, so it is more accessible and whatnot. Some of the grammer we used was lame, so that has been fixed. (I think :p) The 2 Manni Guild quests are finally finishable, so that you can move on to better things. We are testing out Arilon to see if it looks good with a minimap, tell us what you think of it. Here is some picture of the beta minimap.
Now, to download the new 1.03 version. We have two mirrors, just in case the one in our profile won't work.

The screenshots make it look very bland an dunpopulated spare for the monsters.
Also don't mix the bittages of rpgmaker XP tiles and 2003 tiles
Actually Don DID stop distributing it from company pressure. The only official available rpg maker kit in english is XP (and that sucks)
I think that you should ask for some art type people, that way you can achive 100% custom content, if people can for engines like source, there is no reason you shouldn't for somehting that requires less effort for more content... if you get what I mean
True, I know this isn't offical, but it's not like I'm going to try and sell the game. Even if I wished to make some profit from it, like everyone thinks about with their mod, I could try and sell t-shirts or something. :D

Hey Tenchu, look at this exact quote from the guys who distribute it in english.
"First of all, possession of RPG Maker 2000 is lawful. RM2K falls within the same jurisdiction as anime fansubs. RM2K is a fansub of a program released only in Japanese. Unless ASCII personally asks Don to stop distribution of the program, there is nothing illegal about RM2K."
It does say it is illegal to sell it, which I doubt I would try and do. :)
