The Kingsport Cases is a fully procedurally generated survival horror game set in late 19th century Lovecraftian lore. This week, our technical lead and 3D artist talks about generating procedural maps and creating a visual style for NPCs.
"Having a level is nice, but it will only get us so far. Sure, the player can wander through a Victorian mansion, but that's not nearly as interesting as a proper game. The difference is the critical objects scattered carefully through the level."
