Medieval Europe is an unforgiving place at the best of times. Danger and disease are ever present and survival is always a challenge. But now, Europe is witnessing one of it's darkest times - a plague has swept across the continent, leaving a trail of death and despair in its wake. Now people have to fight for scarce resources - the smartest, the opportunistic and the powerful have the best chances of survival. The poorest, the weakest and the most vulnerable face almost certain death. A catastrophic plague has left a trail of destruction across 14th century Europe. Survivors confront sickness and scarce resources in a land rife with banditry. Attempt to find a cure, acquire power, learn skills and adapt to survive. Those lucky enough to survive have come to call it ‘The Black Death’.

The game is amazing! The devs are very responsive and listen to us. Game is still very EA, but the fact that I played 72hours in past week should speak for itself. New update should come soon so I hope we have even bigger player base.

A very solid concept and idea. A set of dedicated developers willing to try the unusual and learn while building a strong community.

The game has solid graphics and very interesting design choices. It is dark, gruesome, unforgiving. It is open-pvp, crafting and survival sandbox, geared towards action and roleplay. Warning. You will die. Many times.

That being said, to be fair, warning : the game is in alpha / early access on Steam and still needs a lot of polish and work. Many features are half-implemented or missing, and things are being rebalanced, fixed, added (and broken, sometimes!) every patch!

Come join us and help build Mercia!
