Description

The Alien Cube is a first person Lovecraftian horror adventure where you play the role of Arthur, a solitary man whose life is about to change dramatically. After a mysterious finding, strange events start to happen. The world around you seems to hide a terrible truth, a dark and mysterious reality that no man should never see. Tormented by nightmarish visions, try to survive the darkness that is haunting you.

History

Alessandro Guzzo is developer of two Lovecraftian horror games. His first game, The Land of Pain, was released in September 2017 and the feedback from users was really good: the game has been 2nd on the Top-Seller and 2nd on Most Popular Releases on Steam.

In 2018 Guzzo started to work on his second project: The Alien Cube. The game is a spiritual sequel to the first one as there are aspects in both games that are connected. The two games, however, are designed to be played separately, as they are focused on two different stories.

The Alien Cube and The Land of Pain are also linked by the passion for Lovecraft’s literature. Indeed, a feeling of humanity’s insignificance in the universe and the fear for the unknown can be perceived while playing these horror adventures.

Both games are made with CryEngine and the latest technologies to reach the best results. Photorealistic graphics has been obtained through the photogrammetry technique. To create the most immersive audio experience, the developer has worked with Wwise, which was awarded as the ‘Best Design and Creativity Tool’.

In January 2022, The Alien Cube won the CryEngine Game of the Year Award.
