Ternion takes place in the year 2142, you are a Soldier of DTA organization.
One day, Desert, the capitain of Ternion and leader of DTA, gets accidentally infected by a virus, created to provide better performance in battle, it was still a prototype and they discovered that causes the destruction of brain cells, and thus leads to madness.
His madness causes him to desire the destruction of every lifeful planet of the galaxy, so you, Fushiko and Yuki, start to rebel, going to any length to stop him and save the entire galaxy from a bad fate.
Ternion is a sci-fi action/rpg game with FPS/TPS elements, you can switch between third person and first person mode in any moment, you can use your blade or your firearms, slow down the time using your energy, and use special tecnological abilities (destruction and recovery abilities).
The game is full of secret weapons and planets to explore, you can even fly thought space at many times speed of light, trying to stop the Ternion and all Desert's plans.
In this game exploring plays an important role, you'll have to explore, to find the weapons and discover everything you need to defeat Desert, once and for all. The landscapes are usually simple, but completely different from our reality, we tried to create places that looks more alien as possible, but remaining in the dictates of physics. What we are focusing more is the feeling of being "free". Even if the maps are not as big as the classic free-roaming games, we hope to give you the sensation of the protagonist, that, after being always locked on his spaceship, is starting to discover the universe that surrouds us.
DreamSoft is an italian group of people who works on videogames as hobby. We are five students, most of which are voice actors, and we love videogames. That's the reason why we work with them, and the reason why we'll try to make something cool and original!
We hope to open you a window on the beauty of the universe, because it's a part of us, we can't ignore it...
Premise: Unity is a wonderful engine.
A few years ago, basically after I stopped development of Ternion, I discovered a program called MakeHuman. It's a program that allows you to create custom humans like on The Sims. The reason why I didn't use it for Ternion is because it was very poor of assets (clothes) and I couldn't just make the protagonist wear loafers and a t-shirt. Things changed recently when I started to collect a lot of clothes and hairs from MakeHuman's community and when, most importantly, I finally learned to use Blender. Blender has the plug-in to make clothes for MakeHuman so it was possible for me to model (or take from older model) clothes or hairs and port it to MakeHuman, this way I could finally have realistic, high-definition and rigged models for Ternion's characters, what I always complained about!
I couldn't wait using these new models. A lot of time has passed since the last day I seriously advanced in Ternion, I think it was 2017. In the meanwhile, Unity started making UnityScript obsolete in favor of C#, probably because C# was faster and had more features, I consequentially switched to C# too but, when I re-opened Ternion to put the newest models in the game, I, sadly, discovered .js scripts (that in Ternion was 100% of the code) was not even compiled anymore. The game now is dead.
I don't know if it worth convert every single script to C# (the one controlling the character has 3276 lines) or start all-over. If I'll choose the second option, it's possible I'll do it on another engine. Like UE4. Only for personal revenge.
I'm sad because when I found a way to finally advance, thanks to Unity, all the work I've done is lost. It's not Unity's fault, I should have kept the game updated with latest engine's changes.
We decided to temporarily stop the development of Ternion, because we have no means to continue the development in the way it should.
