Teleglitch is a roguelike top-down shooter with pixel graphics. The game takes place in procedurally generated military research & training complex that has a different map every time you play. Our mission is to give players like you a chance to walk in the dark corridors, gripping their gun and few last rounds of ammunition. To play with finger on the trigger, high on adrenaline. We want to give you the, paranoid, sweaty, and bloody hard kind of fun.

I just tried out the level editor on the full version (6.3) of Teleglitch, and it is nonfunctional. Scrolling through the tiles with N and M can crash the game, deleting objects advances game-play by a frame, and last time I checked, saving doesn't work at all. Also, rotation should be able to snap to 45 degree intervals.

I hope that these bugs will be fixed, and I hope I will be able to enjoy creating custom campaigns in the future. Thanks for creating such an awesome game.

Edit: Just found out how to save modules. I guess it's not really broken.

Ah, I see you've found the F2 level editor. I have no idea what's going on there, it was deprecated more than a year ago. I should remove it.

Try F3 :
-mouse left selects, right moves and middle rotates.
-return duplicates selected objects
to save, bring down console with F1, write mname="yourmodulename" and press F7

F4 should be mostly self-documenting: M&N should switch different modes.
To load a module, press F12. You can filter module names by typing letters.

The best way to create levels would be to build a palette of parts with F4 modes and then build a level out of them in F3 mode.
The whole game was made like that.

The whole game advancing when deleting objects shouldn't be much trouble.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will commence module-making immediately.

Edit: When I'm Making a map, I'll put together a few tiles and they'll look like they fit, but when I zoom in or out they have seams in them. is there any way around this?

Hi, what a fucking game !

So, I discovered the level editor too, but i'm kinda disappointed...
No way I can use this thing, I just don't understand how it works, can you give us few details on it ?
Like the basic commands...
A simple how to get started will be nice. Because some keys are crushing the game and it is a vicious circle where I try every key and crash the game randomly (?)

Congratulations for the game by the way, this past years we have the chance to play awesome games, indie games rules !

What are the keys that crash the game?

The developer mode was made so accessible by mistake, and is not supported.
Also consider that the next release will use a different format for modules. While it's still possible to convert, some of it needs to be done manually.

If you still want to do something, then read my previous post in this thread. If something is still confusing, just ask.
If you manage to do anything cool, don't forget to share it.
Also, NEVER DELETE THE PLAYER OBJECT! It always results in a crash.
