Hi Everyone! We’ve been busy the past week trying to get one of the most important parts of our game working – Enemies!!
We’re getting close, but in the mean time we’ve had to design parts of our game without them. This has been challenging because without working enemies, we have to make a lot of assumptions as to how the game will feel, and that makes designing things like levels and weapons difficult.
With that said, it hasn't stopped us from doing a lot of work, and now is a good time to show it off.
First, Jeff has created a video showing our wall driving ability and some shooting gameplay. Your tank can drive on the orange colored surfaces. Also included are some of the deadliest red blocks we could imagine.
We've also created the first set of assets for the game, and made a small level to show them off in.
Finally, we discovered this week that by increasing the tank's speed to a ridiculous amount, he turns into a pretty awesome stunt machine! Could a super-secret unlockable skate-park mode be in the works?!?!
The answer is no, but this video proves it would be pretty awesome!
