SYNTH is a new alternative video game for a high-end MS windows PC's. SYNTH was designed and developed by Rhys Paul Hovey. In it's current version (1.666) it has been over two years in the making. SYNTH is 100% mathematically / proceedurally generated. This means that for all of SYNTH's graphics and levels, there is a mathematical function or process from which it was made, making it a very difficult game to program, and in the end quite scalable and unusual. Typically the graphics in a video game are "modeled" by artists with mouse and pen-like touch pads. Everything in SYNTH has a mathematical / algorithmic representation.
Hello folks,. Yes indeed, SYNTH and DAMSIN music machine are indeed alive, with this latest picture of DAMSIN:PANDORA, which has been in development in secret for over 4 years. SYNTH has been on hold for a very long time (v1.666 is the latest) but it has not been forgotten. SYNTH's new version is indeed planned, which integrates DAMSIN:PANDORA, and SYNTH's final "upper layer". This upgrade, targets 6-8 core INTEL processors, of the "future",. and looks to new games consoles like the rumored "scorpion" console (XBOX). Yip, eventually DAMSIN:PANDORA, is going to be doing some very crazzy proceedural generation and precomputing, for the massive "science experiment" that is SYNTH video game. (STILL AT v1.666),. but this changes, at some point, and SYNTH and DAMSIN will be together at last, on your 8 core system,. probly needing somewhere on the lines of >1300 shader units (at least!) and yes,.. work on these projects is in "progress" still.
