After some delay, I've uploaded the latest alpha release of Syndemic (v0.43). Find it on the download page here. PC version is up now, but the Mac version should be up shortly.
MAJOR CHANGES
- Spanish version now available (about 75% translated so far). There may have been some errors on my part, so please let me know of any glaring mistakes!
- Added border walls to all rooms.
- Changed how Transmission Mode works. More mission types are opened up as new missions are completed, and to reach a new tier of mission types, you must complete 3 missions of the current tier. The last set of new missions are unlocked at 'Level 5'.
- New short mission type added for Blood, Fungus, and Brain tilesets. You must race through a dangerous level to rescue a white blood cell before the timer expires.
MISC CHANGES:
- More sound effects.
- Weapons no longer reduce energy, but have a fixed recharge rate. Only sprinting reduces energy.

The idea of the game is great - to get more knowledge on the body by playing a game - sadly a lot of Microbiology games tends to stall in their production.
Thanks a lot! I had big hopes for it, but there didn't seem to be much of an audience so it was hard to get motivated to work on it. But hopefully I can find some time to make progress soon.
Yea, one still get stuck in the area apparently - from time to time it happens and your stuck. If your stuck one can hope there is someone around to come kick you out.
Although I'm at level 185 at the moment. It's a great game to get used to the idea of Bacteria, Virus and Fungus - names and all.
Did the production stop? :(
Was nice to get some information on micro biology and getting more accustom to the words and things. Anyway, I'll give it 10 out of 10 for the idea so few Micro Biology games seems to get finished - thanks for the game alpha. Would love to see more! :)
I've been working on it on and off for a while, but will probably return to it soonish. Based on the state of the world at the moment, microbiology and viruses seem like a big topic of discussion!
Well, the Corona thing I guess for the moment is getting much focus. In any case I used a huge amount of time on the game. And small things here and there you begin to learn and pick up things while playing the game. Thanks for the game and experience whatever happens, it was great fun and helpful to normalize the microbe world.
Ups, I was not logged in apparently.
Dearly Regards

Just bought this game, looks very promising hoping to see it soon on steam :).
Thank you very much! That would be the ultimate goal for me, I think! Let me know what you think of the current state of the game. It will continue to improve, so thanks for the support :)
Hmmmmm it's quite fun to play right now but honestly there are 2 major things bugging me right now, the lack of options menu and the resolution is stuck on one setting which isn't great. Overall gameplay is fun but minorly repetative but it seems to be going in a good direction, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hmm, well the option button is below the tutorial button once you start the game, not sure if you missed it or do you mean something else?
Yeah the lack of resolutions is a problem. I was hoping to find a shortcut to increase it, but it turns out I have to re-do most of the graphics in order to make it look nicer at a higher resolution. It's not impossible to fix but it will take longer than I thought. But it was stupid of me to make it so small to begin with.
Yeah I'm a little worried about repetitiveness. The Story mode will have at least 8 different mission types to hopefully keep things fresh, but the Action mode needs some more work to fix that.
For the menu i meant little things like rebindable keys, just small things like that, because they improve the overall quality of the game. Right now i'm not going to be to critical of the game since it's in alpha however i do expect things like these (rebindable keys, high resolution, maybe a Gui size/ ability to move GUI around) in a full release. However i am not a coder so i asume this take some time to make/work on and i don't mind waiting if the end game is going to be great.
Okay, thanks for letting me know what you expect. I'll probably save the improved resolutions for the next next release, because I want to make test it a lot rather than rushing it out. But the other options you mention are great ideas, and I can probably get most of them done sooner. The GUI probably won't be as customizable as an MMO for example, but I can experiment with scale and location of health bars/icons etc.
I think most buttons should be customizable as well!
