As we are coming closer to the release of the 0.3 version, which will take place sometime in december, a lot of changes are already visible to the game. We feel like the game took a huge step closer to a playable game and that it also feels really unique in a way. We didn't touch SurviveOn's core mechanics yet and still the game feels like a completly different game if you compare it to version 0.2, which released only 10 months ago. In the following development report we are going to introduce you to random things we did the past few weeks to make SurviveOn a little bit more exciting.
Image effects and visuals

The second release of the game didn't look too bad but there was a lot of space to improve. With version 0.3 we try to make the world a little bit more colorful, despite the game taking place in a apocalypse. To achieve a brighter looking environment we added a Bloom effect and also Antialiasing.
Weapons and tools

A vast array of weapons to choose will bring you nothing if half of them are buggy or broken in a way. From now on we will only make weapons available if we are 100% contented with their status. With alpha version 0.3 we will introduce you to the new M4A1-S. Thanks to the surpressor attached to it, you will be able to take out enemies without making too much noise. The weapon isn't completly finished yet (it lacks some animations and settings), but already feels good to play.
Launcher

Starting with version 0.3 (probably) we will update the game trough or launcher which is currently under development.

Above you can see a screenshot of the finished menu in version 0.3. Taking place in a run-down house it has a very dark atmosphere and dark ambience music playing in the background. Image effects are about to be added as well, but we are still experimenting with that.
