At long last, things are falling in place as Survival Wasteland is being rebuilt stone by stone in Unreal Engine 4. It has been a particularly hard semester but we have pieced together controls, the inventory system, spawning, despawning, and equipping objects, and last bat far from least, the UI system, which took just about half our time to figure out. Focus can now shift to building models and working on the crafting system, which has so far been the heart of Survival Wasteland. Who knows, maybe we'll be shooting at some bandits by December?
