Nuclear weapons have the left the world barren and scorched the earth. Survival has never been harder for mankind. Resources are scarce as life has left this world. Rivers are dry. Many of wanderers never survived the icy nights as the moon crosses the sky.Roam a massive streaming map featuring ruined highways and cities. Survive and outwit other survivors, like yourself. Scavenge, loot, and explore during the day and find shelter during the freezing nights. Beware of the beasts and unknown as the sun sets.

Current gameplay features already included in the current build:
Permadeath.
Line of sight and hearing enabled.
Huge streaming map - if you can see it. You can walk to it.
Tons or areas to explore: towns, distant houses, bases.
Weather system.
Player needs: health, hunger, thirst, shelter.
Full day and night cycle.
Inventory backpack system
30 firearms
15 melee weapons
Customizable weapons: scopes and silencers.
Craft-able weapons.
Hunting system.
Loot, gather resources, and scavenge ruined towns, wrecks, vehicles, and more.

I made a new video that is filled with bugs and errors; yet, it shows a number of new features in Barren Roads. Its a long video ~ 8:30 minutes that shows me chopping some trees down, mining, and building a little cabin. Also, you can see a first person POV from the vehicle, some zombies I ran over, and hunting for food.
Still have quite a bit of work to do on these features to make sure they sync and save properly over the network. Also, by adding these new features such as base building, I'm going to have to make even more features to protect your base. Having a vehicle equipped with a bulldozer plow is a good way to take down a base. So, I'm likely going to have to consider adding some types of barricades or mines to discourage drivers to think before plowing over your base. Maybe, I am going to also need some lockable doors and different traps for defense. So many thoughts at the moment and I would love to hear yours!
