Superstatic is a top-down shooter where you're given the ability to possess and control your enemies. Using "copies", you're able to perform a variety of skills including killing enemies within a certain radius, chaining kills together based on your current combo, teleporting to your copy's position and more.

The demo release comes with two things: the Technicolour Rain game file and a "custom" folder. Inside this custom folder you'll find all sorts of assets that you can use to create your own maps. Yesterday we released a relatively basic tutorial video on how to get started with your first map.

There are many other things you can customise. You can add your own custom NPCs with your own custom conversations as well as creating your own custom player and guard sprites.The modding system allows you to create a full custom campaign through the chapter list (the "chapters.tr" file). Each chapter can have its own custom name, music and objective - basically: anything we can do, you can do too. Be sure to check out the "documentation" folder for a more in-depth look at all the various customisable aspects.

Currently, we're working on improving the sprite system so that it's easier to add your own sprites (currently you need to make around 12 sprites for each set like a guard or player but when the new system is finished you will only need to make around 5).
