If you are not a regular Twitter follower, you might have missed some of the showcased special moves, which we are currently adding to the Alpha.
As a reference to Street Fighter's Ryu and Ken, the Japanese and US American Tank Commanders "Takeru" and "S.S.G." will share the same special moves:

Also, there is Kasumi, the ninja and female Japanese tank commander. You might think that she is a reference to the "Dead or Alive" series' Kasumi, but actually, she's more of a reference to the Atari Jaguar game "Kasumi Ninja".
Her specials include "Shuriken Rain" and "Ninjitsu":
