Super Roman Conquest is a side scrolling strategy game that allows you command units through a 3D landscape in the setting of ancient Rome. Developed by longtime veterans of LucasArts, it’s got a classic throwback vibe with a 16-bit pixel art style mixed with modern strategy gameplay yet unseen in the side-scroller genre. Super Roman Combat blends the nostalgia of your favorite older games with more sensible design touches and larger scale meta game features similar to the indie hits of today.

Hey all, our good friend Bandygrass just finished a concept for SRC showing the variety of unit types for the Gaul Army.

From the left we have: Gaul Brute (Heavy hitter beast of a unit), Gaul Fodder (Fast moving, low defense unit), Gaul Defender (Able to block and stop player units from advancing), Gaul Spearman (Long range attack, capable of stopping cavalry charges), Gaul Rider, and Gaul Standard Bearer (the Standard Bearer will provide passive benefits to nearby enemies).

Here's a close up..
