Super Amazing Wagon Adventure is a 2D action game with a random crazy story! You control a group of three migrating west on a wagon trail. The game consists of short 3-30 second long scenes that are sequenced together in a semi-random way, so you never know what dangers you will face. I bought this game this week and played it on my notebook with no problem.
But whenever I try playing on my PC it freezes as soon as I hit the 'SPACE' key.
The music continues but nothing else happens.
Can someone help me?

Thanks.

Hi helderb,

I'm sorry you're having an issue! When you hit the space key at the title screen the game loads your save data from the hard drive, so I'm guessing there's some issue with that. I have a couple of quick questions:

(1) Did the game always freeze in this way or did it work at first and then start freezing?

(2) Does the title screen display correctly (e.g. before you hit space everything looks fine)?

(3) If you look in your "Documents" folder, is there a folder "SavedGames" containing a subfolder "WagonAdventure"? If so, is there anything in that folder?

(4) This is just an out of the blue guess, but is it possible you had your Document folder synced between your laptop and desktop via Dropbox or copied through other means? This shouldn't normally cause problems but it could if you played the game at a resolution on your laptop which your desktop doesn't support.

If you're OK with losing your saved data, one thing you could try is to delete the WagonAdventure folder under SavedGames (if it's there). If (4) is the issue I can also walk you through editing the save file so you can get the game running without losing your save data--you'll basically just need to change a line in the save file.

This is the first report I've had of this problem, so I'm not yet sure what's going on, but with your help I can hopefully figure it out and get it fixed. Also, sorry for the slow response--I've not yet figure out how to get emails when new threads are posted here, and you're the first person to use this forum. You can also email me at sparsevector at sparsevector dot com

Thanks,
