A free to play, Multiplayer, Stunt Driving game, with global leaderboards, currently in active development by one person, Stunt Car Online is a playable download racing game powered by Unity 3d.
The game will be a pay-what-you-want model where I humbly ask for players to donate a little money to help support me - mostly paying for the astronomical hosting fee's! - but you never know, getting a unity pro license one day would certainly help performance! :)
Currently there is an online demo of the game, but this is rapidly becoming very out dated as I am no longer updating this version.
Thanks for your time!

Hello there
I've been getting a few E-mails about the state of StuntCarOnline - and if I'm still working on it.. And if there's any news and stuff like that.. And then it occurred to me the other day, it's been nearly 9 months since I last posted any real update on the project.
That's not really good enough, and I know that, (apologies to all those who have pledged donations! - and everyone else for that matter)..
"So why 9 months with no news or anything then?"
Well, to be perfectly honest, I've got nothing new to add! - My PC's hard disk drive decided to fail one night and I've just not found the time to fix it. Thankfully the data is all safe in cloud storage land so there's been absolutely zero data loss on the game.
I've ordered a new disk now, and hopefully I'll get the time to fix it,
"What's possibly taking up all my time that I can't fix a hard disk?"
Well, the arrival of my second son is definitely eating up my time at the moment! - As much as I love the little blighter, he doesn't half soak up my development time! - Oh, and add to this that I've gone and gotten myself one of those "GAMES INDUSTRY JOBS" you hear so much about.. (I can't say who for unfortunately, but lets put it this way, you probably play their games...)
"Does this mean no more SCO then?"
Absolutely not, it's just, not very easy for me at the moment. Not having a PC even set up now in my house due to my two nurseries! - that's kind of slowing me down, not to mention the PC not having a HDD...
I won't give up on the project though, and I'm still "working on it" - (admittedly, much more of the "out of game" stuff at the moment like the website whenever I get five seconds) but that's about it...
I appreciate this really isn't the news that most people want, but I wasn't sleeping right at night knowing people have put real money into this cause for absolutely nothing new for months.
Trust me when I say this - I've not given up on this project.

An update with all the things I need to do before release of V1.00!
The new car is now implemented with fully working suspension and different boost effects! Working on general bugs for the first release
The new car is "finished"! - I say that in speech marks because there's still a fair amount of work to do......
Make a webplayer game ;)
Please don't let this great project die! :)
I won't - don't worry. I'm still working on this :)

does mods, look good.
I think the gravity is a bit too low. Compared to other racing games it almost feels like i was driving in the moon. Is it possible to fix it to the next update?
Thanks for the feedback, it's not the gravity that's too low (it's set to be the same as Earth) - it's the car being too light.
I've changed that since the online demo, the car is a little bit heavier so it feels a bit less floaty. (it's also not as fast, so therefore can't get as high off the jumps) - Although I'm also aiming for the feeling of weightlessness when you're in the air... it's been tweaked a lot since the demo online
Brilliant game! It would be even greater if you would increase the travel in the suspension and soften it as well, a bit more like the "original". Right now it is a bit hard to really have control I think. Looks very good!
Interesting thoughts regarding the suspension softness... I agree that the car doesn't really "bounce" on landing at the moment.. I think that's something for another car though as I'm pretty pleased with how it's handling at the moment...
This looks like great fun. I will probably donate a couple of bucks after I taken it for a ride :) Keep up the good work.
