Description

STRAIN is a game developed by Sykoo, a currently-one-man-team, hired to work and make the game for Tom Lewis. The game is inspired by using a mix of realistic historical and religious events together with unexplained and fictitious cases.

The player is thrust into a harsh situation as Jon, who is an investigator. His profession is simultaneously the reason to why Jon has gotten personal rights to enter Ira, the village where all the mystic events has been occurring. Whilst Jon's main priority and the only public reason is to investigate the events further where all the action is taking place, he is also looking after his friend Arin.

Environment is taking place inside of Ira, a small village inspired by nature, where technology is avoided. The villagers are interested of nature and their main priority is to keep up the small community they've built up. The whole community is supporting and worshiping a religion only known for the villagers, and they take it on a serious level.

Mysteries have been occurring in Ira, though each one of them got solved by the villagers, and there was no other mystic event where any of the villagers actually disappeared and never been heard of again, which is mainly why the events caught so much information from outside of the village as well.
