Storybook Tactics is a turn-based tactical strategy game. Necromancers have cast a mind-controlling spell over the great warriors of the land. It's up to a squire and a wizard in training - along with whatever help they can find - to defeat the necromancers and lift the spell. Explore the world and defeat the cursed warriors to free them and recruit them to your team. Choose who you send into battle wisely - each warrior’s unique skills will be useful in the fight ahead.

This patch supresses* crash-to-desktop errors some players were experiencing, and adds a new optional battle and new unlockable character.
Existing saves are compatible with the patch. To access the new battle you must have beaten the Ice Shrine battle.
* - Sadly, it seems like the framework is just broken for some players in a bizzarre way. If you can't get music or sound effects to play for you, sorry, but the alternative is crashing to the desktop.

Really one of the worst games I ever played -.-
And the sound effects are F**king irritating
Nice game and the sound "effects" are really funny.
I'm install Java 7 Update 9, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010, .Net Framework 4 and XNA Framework 4, but game still not launching.
Can't launch on Windows 7 x64 - Youtu.be
Hmm... Sorry about that. There should have been a sound effect right then, so something may not be working correctly with the audio, but I'm not sure. Crash-to-desktop errors *should* write a text file with more details in your "&#xLO;CALAPPDATA%\Storybook Tactics\" folder. If you post / send me whatever the error message was, I can probably figure out what's going on.
*the formatting seems to have broken, the path is:
?LOCALAPPDATA?\Storybook Tactics\
(replace the question marks with percent signs, and put that into explorer)
I can't lounch too. But I have WMP and can't find folder "storybook Tactics" in my LOCALAPPDATA folder.

Googled around abit and found out what it was cause i dont have windows media player installed.
So i went to > control panel \ Programs and Features \ Turn windows features on or off \ Media Features \ Windows Media Player
Installed it again and now all works fine.
