To bring in the New Year, we have a new update and finally have a playable slice of our current alpha! With the new update arrives Riot, our own take on a score-based gamemode for Stasis. In Riot, the player fights waves of enemies as he battles to stay alive and rack up a new highscore. Each wave gets progressively harder, with more baddies wanting to see the player bleed. We have a list of features already added to Riot, but plan to add much more! The current features are as follows:
-Complex scoring system: kill baddies to score points and earn bonuses for headshots, sticky kills, environment kills, and even multi-kills!
-Multi-kills: Chain kills together to earn huge score bonuses!
-Local Highscores: So you've played your first round and landed the top score. But you know you can do better!
-A wide arsenal of weapons: Dispatch your enemies with multiple weapons including two types of grenades, assault rifles, machine pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and the mighty clustergun!
Those are the highlights of what's in the game, but we have done a ridiculous amount of work on other small things to smooth out the gameplay. We already have plans to expand Riot and have a number a features we are going to add before the release of our next alpha.
To all survivalists out there: We encourage you to take screenshots of your scores and post them on the web to see who can dominate the most in Riot (just for kicks and giggles)! We'll pass this off as a means of leaderboards until we get online highscores working.

Much appreciated!! Graphical quality is something we're striving for, but we definitely have a lot of work left to do! In comparison to gameplay, though, looks are only a small part of the pie. D/L the Alpha if you haven't gotten the chance to, you'll be even more surprised!
